There are no purely ugly actresses that make it big. The system is designed to weed out those women who don't look the part, and the parts are always well . . . for the hotties.

There are some actresses, however, who clearly work on their 'craft' more than their looks.

Glenn close has always been a bit "manish," and while I think Hilary Swank is gorgeous, a lot of guys still think she has a penis. I just think Juliette Lewis is ugly. Sorry Juliette, I bet you might think I'm ugly too - put it on your blog.
