I like to sit and be quiet

So remember when adults used to say to you "lets play the quiet game" and there was an age at which you figured out they were trying to manipulate you and you got mad.

I'm not really around kids very often and actually when I am, its so short that I don't need them to be quiet.

Lately, I kind of want to tell the rest of the world to play the quiet game and stop bothering me with things I have to do that aren't exactly what I want to do, but the world has figured out that the quiet game isn't fun and it just gets more mad at me.

Some things piling up on me lately include

--My work schedule, which finally after almost 3 years seems to be getting on my nerves. I'm tired of forced 10 hour days!

--House hunting, which wouldn't be so bad except that it so time consuming and requires a lot of that special focused married person communication.

--Travel, a blessing and a curse. Too much travel means we haven't done our laundry since probably before the Bahamas in May.

--Weekend plans, having 3 days off is great until you start filling it up completely. I think we've had a couple of loafy days since L's graduation, but I think only one weekend where we didn't have some kind of travel/family plans since May 10/11

--Our 2 bedroom apartment, because we've started house hunting we've fully accepted the apartment is too small. Now its a challenge to accept it as anything but temporary which is motivating when searching for a house to buy but depressing when its time to clean up - there's no space left to put anything away!

--Role change at work, my title change from SE to SEE - whoopiee. Now I'm expected to know some things that I don't which is stressful. I need to do some 'personal development' and catch up but my weekends are crammed with other crap already and there's no 'studying' to be done after I get home after 8:30 on the workdays.

--The thought that if I did have free time all I would do with it is play video games. I really don't have a desire to do much else
