We're buying a house

We've agreed on a price and are in the waiting period.

I'm excited but as with every life stage change, I have a bit of apprehension.

Inspection will be Monday or Tuesday.

Lemme know whenever you want me to fart at you

So we live in an apt complex with a lot of friends. Actually not really friends more like people who are there and we talk to when someone gets their car stolen . . .

last night I decided to wander out and talk to these folks who are nice enough, but I don't really want to see them away from the apt complex. Anyway, I talk to them about how we're moving and how only one person who lives there is older than me -blah blah- then my stomach starts to hurt.

I Fart

Silently

I didn't smell it so I just kept talking but there was one of my neighbors sitting about butt level next to me on a stool and in about 2 minutes she got up (without saying anything) and went back to her apartment.

I kept talking for awhile because the others weren't acting weird and I hadn't really fully grasped what had happened. Eventually I needed to deal with my stomach issues so I casually said something like - well I should go. I got back in my apt to deal with the upset-ness and discovered my fly was DOWN!

so here's the sum total of events:

Guy comes out of apt to talk with his fly down and farts in his neighbor's face - "bye lemme know whenever you want me to fart at you, I live in #8, btw I wear boxers"

Blue Carpets is Gone

Someone else bought the house and the 10 day 'test' period is over which means they didn't back out. I'm about 80% dissappointed and 20% relieved that we don't have to do all that work.

L and I don't have a 2nd choice on which we agree.

House Hunting Madness

We keep looking at different houses and neighborhoods and seeing different things we like and don't like.

We've come back this this house as a possible option more than once:

Lots of work to be done inside however. Unless you like blue carpet!

I like to sit and be quiet

So remember when adults used to say to you "lets play the quiet game" and there was an age at which you figured out they were trying to manipulate you and you got mad.

I'm not really around kids very often and actually when I am, its so short that I don't need them to be quiet.

Lately, I kind of want to tell the rest of the world to play the quiet game and stop bothering me with things I have to do that aren't exactly what I want to do, but the world has figured out that the quiet game isn't fun and it just gets more mad at me.

Some things piling up on me lately include

--My work schedule, which finally after almost 3 years seems to be getting on my nerves. I'm tired of forced 10 hour days!

--House hunting, which wouldn't be so bad except that it so time consuming and requires a lot of that special focused married person communication.

--Travel, a blessing and a curse. Too much travel means we haven't done our laundry since probably before the Bahamas in May.

--Weekend plans, having 3 days off is great until you start filling it up completely. I think we've had a couple of loafy days since L's graduation, but I think only one weekend where we didn't have some kind of travel/family plans since May 10/11

--Our 2 bedroom apartment, because we've started house hunting we've fully accepted the apartment is too small. Now its a challenge to accept it as anything but temporary which is motivating when searching for a house to buy but depressing when its time to clean up - there's no space left to put anything away!

--Role change at work, my title change from SE to SEE - whoopiee. Now I'm expected to know some things that I don't which is stressful. I need to do some 'personal development' and catch up but my weekends are crammed with other crap already and there's no 'studying' to be done after I get home after 8:30 on the workdays.

--The thought that if I did have free time all I would do with it is play video games. I really don't have a desire to do much else
